เอไอเอส จับมือ ไทยคม ขยายเครือข่ายมือถือไปยังที่พักเจ้าหน้าที่ขุดเจาะน้ำมันกลางอ่าวไทย เป็นรายแรกในประเทศไทย
เอไอเอส จับมือ ไทยคม ขยายเครือข่ายโทรศัพท์มือถือไปยังเรือนวธานี ซึ่งเป็นที่พัของเจ้าหน้าที่ขุดเจาะน้ำมันกลางทะเลอ่าวไทย โดยถือเป็นรายแรกในประเทศไทย ที่มีการนำนวัตกรรมเทคโนโลยีการสื่อสารผ่านเครือข่ายโทรศัพท์มือถือ มาทำงานร่วมกับระบบสื่อสารผ่านดาวเทียม ไปติดตั้งบนพื้นที่กลางทะเล ซึ่งอยู่ห่างจากฝั่งถึง 200 กิโลเมตร ตอบโจทย์สำหรับองค์กรต่างๆ ที่มีพื้นที่การทำงานที่ไม่ได้อยู่บนแผ่นดิน ให้สามารถบริหารจัดการได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ และให้เจ้าหน้าที่สื่อสารกับครอบครัวได้อย่างอุ่นใจ
นายสมชัย เลิศสุทธิวงค์ ประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหาร บริษัท แอดวานซ์ อินโฟร์ เซอร์วิส จำกัด (มหาชน) หรือ เอไอเอส กล่าวว่า “เอไอเอส มีความมุ่งมั่นที่จะพัฒนาเครือข่ายโทรศัพท์มือถือซึ่งถือเป็นโครงสร้างพื้นฐานด้านระบบสื่อสารที่สำคัญสำหรับประเทศไทยมาโดยตลอด รวมทั้งยังร่วมมือกับบริษัทในเครืออย่างไทยคม เพื่อร่วมกันพัฒนาการให้บริการเครือข่ายให้คนไทยยกระดับการใช้ชีวิตอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพจากเทคโนโลยีดิจิทัลได้ในทุกสถานที่ อาทิ กลางทะเล โดยที่ผ่านมา เอไอเอสและไทยคม ได้ร่วมกันทดลองให้บริการเครือข่ายมือถือ ที่ทำงานร่วมกับระบบสื่อสารผ่านดาวเทียมไทยคมบนเรือหลวงกระบี่ ในปี 2556 ซึ่งถือเป็นอีกหนึ่งตัวอย่างที่ช่วยยืนยันความพร้อมของการให้บริการกับหน่วยงานของภาครัฐได้เป็นอย่างดี
วันนี้ เอไอเอสจึงมีความยินดีเป็นอย่างยิ่งที่ได้ร่วมมือกับไทยคมอีกครั้ง ในการอำนวยความสะดวกด้านการติดต่อสื่อสารทั้ง Voice ที่มีความคมชัด และ Data ที่มีความเร็วสูงสุดถึง 2.7 Mbps ให้กับหน่วยงานเอกชน นั่นก็คือ เรือนวธานีของกลุ่มบริษัทนทลิน ซึ่งถือเป็นรายแรกในประเทศไทย ที่มีการนำเอาเครือข่ายโทรศัพท์มือถือ มาทำงานร่วมกับระบบสื่อสารผ่านดาวเทียมไทยคม 7 ไปติดตั้งบนเรือ ซึ่งเป็นที่พักของเจ้าหน้าที่ขุดเจาะน้ำมันที่ตั้งอยู่กลางทะเลอ่าวไทย โดยนอกจากความร่วมมือในครั้งนี้จะช่วยลดค่าใช้จ่ายในการติดต่อสื่อสารกับสำนักงานใหญ่ รวมทั้งทำให้การดำเนินธุรกิจขององค์กรมีประสิทธิภาพมากยิ่งขึ้นแล้วยังเป็นการสร้างขวัญและกำลังใจให้กับเจ้าหน้าที่ที่ปฏิบัติงานจากการติดต่อสื่อสารกับครอบครัวได้อย่างสะดวกสบาย ซึ่งถือเป็นการเติมเต็มทุกมิติของการติดต่อสื่อสาร การรับชมความบันเทิง หรือการทำธุรกรรมต่างๆ ได้ด้วยการใช้งานโทรศัพท์มือถือของตนเอง
โดยปัจจุบัน เทคโนโลยีเครือข่ายมือถือ ที่ทำงานร่วมกับระบบสื่อสารผ่านดาวเทียม ที่ติดตั้งบนเรือกลางทะเลดังกล่าว มีความพร้อมที่จะเปิดให้บริการในเชิงพาณิชย์ได้เป็นที่เรียบร้อยแล้ว”
ด้านนางศุภจี สุธรรมพันธุ์ ประธานกรรมการบริหารและประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหาร บริษัท ไทยคม จำกัด (มหาชน) เปิดเผยว่า “ไทยคม ยินดีที่ได้สนับสนุนเทคโนโลยีดาวเทียมเพื่อให้บริการสื่อสารเครือข่ายโทรศัพท์มือถือทางทะเลในการเชื่อมโยงผู้คนให้สามารถติดต่อกันได้ทุกที่ทุกเวลา โดยได้ร่วมกับเอไอเอสและกลุ่มบริษัทนทลินในการติดตั้งระบบดาวเทียม Satellite on the Move - Maritime ให้กับเรือนวธานีในครั้งนี้ ไทยคมนำเสนอโซลูชั่นส์การสื่อสารผ่านดาวเทียมแบบครบวงจรให้กับลูกค้าทั้งภาครัฐและเอกชน ในไทยและต่างชาติ เพื่อการเชื่อมโยงเทคโนโลยี โอกาส และผู้คน อย่างต่อเนื่อง เรามีประสบการณ์ในการให้บริการเครือข่ายมือถือ ที่ทำงานร่วมกับระบบสื่อสารผ่านดาวเทียมบนเรือหลวงกระบี่ ในปี 2556 รวมถึงให้บริการสื่อสารผ่านดาวเทียมบรอดแบนด์ทางทะเลกับโอเชี่ยนทรานส์ ผู้นำด้านธุรกิจขนส่งทางทะเลของประเทศญี่ปุ่น ในปี 2557 การพัฒนาบริการในครั้งนี้ จึงเป็นอีกหนึ่งความสำเร็จที่ไทยคมได้มีโอกาสช่วยลดช่องว่างและเชื่อมต่อการสื่อสารในทุกพื้นที่ได้อย่างไร้พรมแดน ขณะเดียวกัน ยังเป็นการขยายตลาดและเพิ่มมูลค่าธุรกิจดาวเทียมของไทยด้วย”

AIS Joins with Thaicom, Expanding the Mobile Network into the Accommodation Barge of Oil Riggers in the Middle of the Gulf of Thailand as the First in Thailand.
AIS joins with Thaicom to expand its mobile communication network via the Thaicom 7 satellite system to the Navathanee Accommodation Barge serving oil riggers in the middle of the Gulf of Thailand. This is the first in Thailand bringing an innovative solution of mobile base stations via satellite network to the middle of the sea, 200 kilometers away from shore. This solution helps to solve communication problems for various organizations whose work sites are located offshore by providing efficient communication between shore and offshore, improve operation efficiency, and enhance crew welfare by enabling riggers to have access to the internet at speeds up to 2.7 Mbps or talk with their families affectionately via their own mobile devices.
Mr.Somchai Lertsutiwong, CEO of Advanced Info Service PLC., or “AIS”, says, “AIS is firmly committed to improving the Mobile Network system, which has always been an essential basic communication infrastructure for Thailand. We are also working with affiliates like Thaicom to enhance network services for the Thai people and upgrade their living conditions with effective digital technologies from anywhere, even offshore. Another example is the launch of mobile communication services via Thaicom satellites on HTMS Krabi in 2013. Today, AIS is pleased to have cooperated with Thaicom once again in enabling both clear voice communication and internet access at speeds up to 2.7 Mbps for Navathanee Accommodation Barge which belongs to the Nathalin Group. We are the first in Thailand to install mobile base stations via the Thaicom 7 Satellite on a vessel that serves as an accommodation barge to oil riggers located in the middle of the Gulf of Thailand. Apart from minimizing the costs of communication to the mainland and boosting the efficiency of the organization’s business, this cooperation also serves to boost the morale and spirit of operations personnel by enabling contact with families affectionately via their own mobile devices.
