เฌอร่า พร้อมรับมือการเปิดประชาคมอาเซียน โดยก่อนหน้านี้เฌอร่าได้ขยายตลาดในประเทศแถบภูมิภาคอาเซียน โดยได้รับการตอบรับที่ดีจากตลาดดังกล่าว ล่าสุดเฌอร่าผุดโปรเจ็ค ‘Affordable Housing’ ที่ฟิลิปปินส์

ปัญหาการจัดหาที่อยู่อาศัยแก่ประชาชนในฟิลิปปินส์นั้นกลายเป็นประเด็นเร่งด่วนอยู่ในขณะนี้ ท่ามกลางความกังวลเรื่องที่อยู่อาศัยของชาวฟิลิปปินส์ อันเนื่องมาจากความเสียหายที่เกิดขึ้นจากพายุไต้ฝุ่นขนาดยักษ์ ‘โยลันดา’ รวมถึงปัญหาการจัดหาที่อยู่อาศัยที่ยังคงคั่งค้างอยู่นั้น ส่งผลให้มีความจำเป็นต้องเร่งสร้างที่อยู่อาศัยที่สะดวกสบายและทนทานให้แก่ประชาชนทั่วไปนั้นกลายเป็นเรื่องเร่งด่วนอย่างที่ไม่เคยเป็นมาก่อน

จากปัญหาดังกล่าวนี้ กลุ่มมหพันธ์-หนึ่งในผู้ผลิตวัสดุทดแทนไม้สำหรับการก่อสร้างชั้นนำของเอเชีย ได้เสนอให้ใช้ ไฟเบอร์ซีเมนต์ในโปรเจ็คดังกล่าว ทั้งนี้ไฟเบอร์ซีเมนต์ซึ่งผลิตจาก Portland Cement ซิลิกา น้ำและเยื่อไม้นั้น ถือเป็นวัสดุ ก่อสร้างที่ได้รับความนิยมเพิ่มขึ้นอย่างต่อเนื่อง เนื่องจากตัววัสดุมีคุณสมบัติด้านความแข็งแรงทนทาน นอกจากนี้ยังสามารถนำมาประยุกต์ใช้งานได้หลากหลาย ไม่ว่าจะเป็นหลังคาหรือผนังอาคาร ทั้งยังเหมาะกับงานก่อสร้างที่ต้องการความรวดเร็ว ประหยัด คุ้มค่า และเปี่ยมด้วยสุนทรีภาพอีกด้วย

“ไฟเบอร์ซีเมนต์ นับเป็นหนึ่งในวัสดุก่อสร้างเพียงไม่กี่ชนิดที่มีประโยชน์ทั้งต่อผู้บริโภคและผู้รับเหมาก่อสร้าง ไม่ว่าจะเป็นงานก่อสร้างแบบเรียบง่าย จนถึงแบบซับซ้อน” นายวีระศักดิ์ กิตตินันทกูล รองผู้อำนวยการฝ่ายต่างประเทศ บริษัท โอลิมปิคกระเบื้องไทย จำกัด ผู้จัดจำหน่ายวัสดุไฟเบอร์ซีเมนต์แบรนด์ ‘เฌอร่า’ กล่าว ระหว่างงานประชุม Affordable Housing Conference ณ เมืองมาคาติ

“ผลิตภัณฑ์ไฟเบอร์ซีเมนต์นั้น นอกจากจะช่วยแก้ปัญหาด้านการจัดการที่อยู่อาศัยแล้ว ยังมีประโยชน์เหนือกว่าวัสดุก่อสร้างแบบดั้งเดิมอีกด้วย โดยบ้านที่สร้างด้วยไฟเบอร์ซีเมนต์นั้นมีราคาที่ผู้บริโภคสามารถรับได้ อีกทั้งยังเหมาะกับที่อยู่อาศัยทุกประเภทอีกด้วย” นายวีระศักดิ์กล่าว

เทคโนโลยีการฆ่าเชื้อโรคที่มีความซับซ้อนสูงในกระบวนการผลิตปัจจุบันนั้นได้ขยายขอบเขตคุณสมบัติของผลิตภัณฑ์ ไฟเบอร์ซีเมนต์ที่ปราศจากแร่ใยหินให้มีคุณสมบัติทดแทนได้ และเป็นวัสดุที่เป็นมิตรกับสิ่งแวดล้อม เหมาะกับการก่อสร้างแบบเร่งด่วน ผลิตภัณฑ์ไฟเบอร์ซีเมนต์นั้นมีความทนทานสูง ทั้งยังมีความยืดหยุ่น มีคุณสมบัติป้องกันไฟ น้ำ และการกัดกร่อนจากสารเคมี รวมถึงป้องกันแมลงอีกด้วย ซึ่งคุณสมบัติเหล่านี้ส่งผลให้ผลิตภัณฑ์ไฟเบอร์ซีเมนต์เป็นวัสดุในอุดมคติสำหรับการก่อสร้างแบบเร่งด่วน ท่ามกลางสภาพภูมิอากาศและภูมิประเทศที่ไม่อำนวย

นอกจากนี้ ด้วยคุณสมบัติความเป็นหนึ่งเดียว (Structural integrity) ทางโครงสร้าง และความคุ้มค่าด้านราคา ผลิตภัณฑ์ไฟเบอร์ซีเมนต์จึงเป็นคำตอบที่เหมาะสมให้กับ National Housing Authority ซึ่งต้องการจัดหาบ้านราคาประหยัดจำนวนกว่า 10 ล้านหลังภายในอีก 15 ปีข้างหน้า เพื่อยกระดับคุณภาพด้านที่อยู่อาศัยให้แก่ครอบครัวชาวฟิลิปินส์หลายล้านครอบครัว

สำหรับ กรณีตัวอย่างการใช้ผลิตภัณฑ์ไฟเบอร์ซีเมนต์ของเฌอร่า ได้แก่ การใช้ผลิตภัณฑ์ไฟเบอร์ซีเมนต์ในการ ก่อสร้างโรงเรียนหลายแห่งในแคว้นแคชเมียร์ ประเทศปากีสถานหลังเกิดภัยพิบัติแผ่นดินไหวขนาด 7.6 ริกเตอร์ ที่สร้างความเสียหายทั่วภูมิภาค ในเดือนตุลาคม ปี ค.ศ. 2005 นอกจากนี้ไฟเบอร์ซีเมนต์ บอร์ด (fibre cement boards) ถูกใช้ในโครงการช่วยเหลือผู้ประสบภัยแผ่นดินไหวของ Asian Development Bank (ADB) เพื่อสร้าง โรงเรียน 300 แห่งที่ได้รับผลกระทบจากภัยพิบัตินี้อีกด้วย ผลิตภัณฑ์เฌอร่านั้นถูกนำไปใช้อย่างกว้างขวางสำหรับงานก่อสร้างทั่วไป และอาคารโมเดิร์น ในประเทศเนเธอร์แลนด์ อิหร่าน อิรัก กาตาร์ มาเลเซียและบรูไน

SHERA moves towards for AEC, Fiber cement as ideal Material for Philippine affordable housing

SHERA is ready to move towards for AEC. Before expanding its brand to Philippines market, SHERA has been exploring in several countries in ASEAN in which it has successfully received a positive feedback. Recently, SHERA has arranged the affordable housing project in Philippines.

Amid the Philippines' concerns for affordable housing, brought about by the destruction wreaked by super typhoon Yolanda and by the country's housing backlog, the need for the quick construction of comfortable and long-lasting homes for the average Filipino has never been more urgent.

To address this, The Mahaphant Group - one of Asia’s leading manufacturers of wood-substitute construction materials under brand SHERA - has proposed the use of fiber cement to fast-track projects. Fiber cement - which is made up of Portland cement, silica, water, and wood pulp - is an increasingly popular building material known for its sturdiness. Used in a variety of applications, such as roofing and walling, it lends itself to quick construction while providing cost-effectiveness and high-quality aesthetics.

“Fibre cement products offer numerous housing solutions and advantages over other traditional materials. Completed housing made of fiber cement has the capacity to be affordable for all housing segments,” Veerasak said.

Highly sophisticated autoclave technology in the modern production methods has expanded the functionality of non-asbestos fiber-cement as being the sustainable and green building material for fast-track construction. Fiber cement products are highly durable, flexible, fire-proof, and water-, chemical corrosion- & insect-resistant. These qualities make it the ideal material for fast construction in areas with challenging weather and geographic conditions.

Further, by combining structural integrity with cost-effectiveness, fiber cement fits well with the National Housing Authority's (NHA) estimation of a demand for 10 million affordable housing units in the next 15 years to create quality homes for millions of Filipino families.

For instance, SHERA's fiber cement products were essential in the quick construction of schools in the Kashmir region in Pakistan after a 7.6 magnitude earthquake devastated the region in October 2005. Its fiber cement boards were also among those used in the Asian Development Bank’s (ADB) Earthquake Emergency Assistance Project to construct around 300 school buildings affected by the disaster in the same area. SHERA products have been widely used in mass and modern housing estates for example in the Netherlands, Iran, Iraq, Qatar, and Malaysia to Brunei.
