แอร์เอเชีย จับมือ สมาคมวอลเลย์บอล แถลงข่าวเปิดการแข่งขันวอลเลย์บอลยุวชน'แอร์เอเชีย'อายุไม่เกิน 14 ปี ชิงถ้วยประทานทูลกระหม่อมหญิงอุบลรัตน์ราชกัญญา สิริวัฒนาพรรณวดี

       นายสมพร ใช้บางยาง นายกสมาคมกีฬาวอลเลย์บอลแห่งประเทศไทย ร่วมกับ นายซูซาน ยิน ผู้ช่วยผู้จัดการฝ่ายสื่อสารองค์กรด้านกิจกรรมพิเศษและกีฬา บริษัท ไทยแอร์เอเชีย จำกัด  ได้ร่วมกันแถลงข่าวการแข่งขันวอลเลย์บอลยุวชน “แอร์เอเชีย” อายุไม่เกิน 14 ปี ชิงชนะเลิศแห่งประเทศไทย ครั้งที่ 24 ประจำปี 2557  ชิงถ้วยพระราชทาน ทูลกระหม่อมหญิงอุบลรัตน์ราชกัญญา สิริวัฒนาพรรณวดี ณ ห้องบุหงา โรงแรมโกลเด้นทิวลิป ซอฟเฟอริน พระรามเก้า กรุงเทพมหานคร โดยมีรายละเอียดดังนี้

     นายสมพร ใช้บางยาง นายกสมาคมกีฬาวอลเลย์บอลแห่งประเทศไทย กล่าวว่า นับเป็นนิมิตรหมายที่ดี ที่บริษัท ไทยแอร์ เอเชีย จำกัด ได้เข้ามาร่วม สนับสนุนการแข่งขันวอลเลย์บอลรุ่นระดับอายุไม่เกิน 14 ปี ซึ่งรายการนี้ถือว่าเป็นรายการแข่งขันที่สำคัญรายการหนึ่ง ที่จะช่วยให้นักกีฬา ในระดับอายุเดียวกัน ได้มีการแข่งขันร่วมกัน ทำให้ไม่เกิดการได้เปรียบเสียเปรียบกันมาก ต้องขอแสดงความขอบคุณบริษัท ไทยแอร์เอเชีย จำกัด ที่ให้การสนับสนุนสมาคมกีฬาวอลเลย์บอลในหลายๆด้าน ด้วยดีมาโดยตลอด  และสมาคมฯ หวังเป็นย่างยิ่งว่า การสนับสนุนการจัดการแข่งขันวอลเลย์บอลยุวชน’แอร์เอเชีย’ ในครั้งนี้ จะก่อให้เกิดประโยชน์สูงสุด ในการเป็นบันไดที่จะพัฒนาศักยภาพ ของนักกีฬาวอลเลย์บอลเมืองไทย ให้มีความสามารถที่ดีเยี่ยมเทียบเท่าในระดับสากลได้ต่อไป      

     นายซูซาน ยิน ผู้ช่วยผู้จัดการฝ่ายสื่อสารองค์กรด้านกิจกรรมพิเศษและกีฬา บริษัท ไทยแอร์เอเชีย จำกัด กล่าวว่า แอร์เอเชียให้ความสำคัญกับการสนับสนุนด้านกีฬา เนื่องจากเป็นสิ่งที่ใครๆ ก็เข้าถึงง่าย เป็นภาษาสากล สอดรับกับนโยบายของสายการบินที่มุ่งจะให้กีฬาเป็นสื่อในการพัฒนาคน พัฒนาชาติ ซึ่งแอร์เอเชียดำเนินการมาอย่างต่อเนื่องหลากหลายชนิดกีฬา เช่น ฟุตบอล เทนนิส ฯลฯ รวมทั้งกีฬาที่กำลังได้รับความนิยมอย่างรวดเร็วคือ “วอลเลย์บอล” หรับการสนับสนุนสมาคมกีฬาวอลเลย์บอลแห่งประเทศไทย เราสนับสนุนสมาคมปีนี้เป็นปีที่ 2 ติดต่อกันโดยสนับสนุนในเรื่องของการเดินทางของนักกีฬาและเจ้าหน้าที่สมาคมฯ ปีละ 3 ล้านบาท และล่าสุดเมื่อทีมวอลเลย์บอลหญิงทีมชาติไทย คว้าแชมป์เอเชีย ปี 2013  แอร์เอเชีย ก็สนับสนุนตั๋วเพื่อเป็นกำลังใจนักกีฬาไทยและทีมโค้ชทุกคน (ตั๋วคนละ 40 ที่นั่ง) ตลอดปี

      นอกจากนี้ แอร์เอเชียยังเชิดชูเกียรตินักกีฬาวอลเลย์บอลโดยเพ้นท์เครื่องบินลายใหม่ เป็นภาพนักกีฬาสาว ภายใต้แนวคิด World Class Home Grown ซึ่งเครื่องบินให้บริการทุกเส้นทางบินของแอร์เอเชีย เริ่มบินตั้งแต่ปลายเดือนต.ค. ที่ผ่านมา อย่างไรก็ตามนอกเหนือจากทีมชาติแล้ว เราก็ให้ความสำคัญกับการสนับสนุนระดับเยาวชน ซึ่งจะเป็นกำลังสำคัญในการสร้างชื่อเสียงและความสุขให้คนไทยต่อไป เราจึงพร้อมในการสนับสนุนการแข่งขันวอลเลย์บอลยุวชน “แอร์เอเชีย” รุ่นอายุไม่เกิน 14 ปี ครั้งที่ 24 (U14) ครั้งนี้ (สนับสนุนเงินสด 1.7 ล้านบาท) โดยมีความคาดหวังเพื่อเป็นแรงบันดาลใจให้กับเยาวชน และเป็นส่วนหนึ่งในการค้นหาดาวดวงใหม่ๆ ทางแอร์เอเชียก็ขอขอบคุณสมาคมวอลเลย์บอลแห่งประเทศไทยที่เป็นพันธมิตรอันดี และไว้ใจให้เราร่วมจัดการแข่งขันวอลเลย์บอล U14 เราก็พร้อมเป็นส่วนหนึ่งในการสนับสนุนวอลเลย์บอลไทยและกีฬาประเภทอื่นๆ ต่อไป

AirAsia Joins Hands with the Thailand Volleyball Association Launches 'AirAsia' Youth Volleyball under 14 Championship Royal Cup Bestowed by Her Royal Highness Princess Ubolratana Rajakanya

    Mr. Somporn Chaibangyang, Governor of the Thailand Volleyball Association, joined by Mr. Soo Sann Yin, Assistant Manager of Corporate Communications for Events and Activation of Thai AirAsia, held a press conference announcing the 24th “AirAsia” Youth Volleyball under 14 Championship, Royal Cup of Her Royal Highness Princess Ubolratana Rajakanya, at the Bungha Room of the Golden Tulip Sovereign Hotel Rama 9, Bangkok; with the following details.

      Mr. Somporn Chaibangyang, Governor of the Thailand Volleyball Association, stated that the body greatly welcomes the support of Thai AirAsia towards the Youth Volleyball under 14 Championship as it is a major competition for athletes in the age range, allowing them to compete on equal grounding.  He thanked Thai AirAsia for its support of the Thailand Volleyball Association in various aspects and expressed hope that its hand in the latest youth competition would bring about the best results in developing Thailand’s volleyball players towards international standards.

    Mr. Soo Sann Yin, Assistant Manager of Corporate Communications for Events and Activation of Thai AirAsia, pointed out that AirAsia gives great importance to athletics due to its universal appeal, explaining that the airline’s policy is to utilize sports as a means to develop people and nations.  AirAsia’s support of sports has so far extended to football and tennis among others and as of late has been focused toward volleyball, which has rapidly grown in popularity.  Thai AirAsia’s sponsorship of the Thailand Volleyball Association is now in its second consecutive year.  The airline sponsors travel for the association’s athletes and members up to 3 million THB per year.  Most recently, upon the Thai National Woman’s Volleyball Team taking the 2013 Asia Cup, AirAsia awarded the team with travel tickets for all its members and coaches (40 tickets per person valid all year).

   AirAsia further honored the Thai volleyball team by painting one if its airplanes with an image of the team members and the message “World Class, Home Grown”.  The aircraft has been serving on all Thai AirAsia routes since October.  The airline’s support extends beyond the national team to the youth level, acknowledging the role of young players in enhancing the sport for the Thai people.  AirAsia is fully ready to sponsor the 24th “AirAsia” Youth Volleyball under 14 Championship, or U14 (cash sponsorship totaling 1.7 million THB), with the intention to inspire young players and find budding stars.  AirAsia thanks the Thailand Volleyball Association for being a strong ally and entrusting it with the U14.  The airline also wishes to make known it is prepared to support all athletic endeavors in Thailand as it has so far with volleyball.
