ไทยแอร์เอเชียยืนยันเดินหน้าแผนธุรกิจ มั่นใจเติบโตตามเป้า พร้อมเพิ่มเส้นทางบินใหม่ช่วงครึ่งปีหลังต่อเนื่อง
บริษัท เอเชีย เอวิเอชั่น จำกัด (มหาชน) หรือ AAV บริษัทจดทะเบียนในตลาดหลักทรัพย์ซึ่งถือหุ้นใหญ่ในไทยแอร์เอเชีย จัดงาน AAV Open House ที่ตลาดหลักทรัพย์แห่งประเทศไทย วันนี้ (21 เมษายน) เพื่อให้ความมั่นใจกับนักลงทุนต่อการดำเนินงานของบริษัท ยืนยันว่าไทยแอร์เอเชียสามารถให้บริการทุกเที่ยวบินได้ตามปกติ กรณีปัญหาของกรมการบินพลเรือนไทยกับองค์การการบินพลเรือนระหว่างประเทศ (ICAO) จะไม่ส่งผลต่อเป้าหมายของปี 2558 ที่กำหนดรับเครื่องบินประจำการฝูงบิน 5 ลำ(ครบ 45 ลำภายในสิ้นปี) ยอดผู้โดยสาร 14.5 ล้านคน พร้อมยืนยันเดินหน้าขยายเส้นทางบิน 3-4 เส้นทางช่วงครึ่งปีหลังแน่นอน
นายธรรศพลฐ์ แบเลเว็ลด์ ประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหารสายการบินไทยแอร์เอเชีย และบริษัท เอเชีย เอวิเอชั่น จำกัด (มหาชน) กล่าวว่า จากกรณีองค์การการบินพลเรือนระหว่างประเทศ (ICAO) ได้ตรวจสอบมาตรฐานกรมการบินพลเรือนของไทย และพบว่ามีข้อบกพร่องที่มีนัยสำคัญต่อความปลอดภัย (Significant Safety Concern: SSC) ว่า AAV และไทยแอร์เอเชียไม่ได้รับผลกระทบแต่อย่างใดจากเหตุการณ์นี้ ยังสามารถดำเนินงานตามแผนได้ตามปกติ และจะไม่ส่งผลต่อเป้าหมายปี 2558 ของบริษัทที่ตั้งเป้ารักษาอัตราส่วนการขนส่งผู้โดยสาร (Load Factor) ที่ร้อยละ 83 และเพิ่มจำนวนผู้โดยสารเป็น 14.5 ล้านคน
นายธรรศพลฐ์ กล่าวเชื่อมั่นว่า กรมการบินพลเรือนของไทยจะสามารถแก้ไขปัญหาดังกล่าวได้ภายในเดือนกรกฎาคม 2558 นี้ เพราะเราเห็นความตั้งใจในการทำงานอย่างต่อเนื่อง รวมทั้งจะมีการส่งผลความคืบหน้า (Progress Report) ให้กับ ICAO ทุกๆ 1-2 สัปดาห์ นอกจากนี้สายการบินไทยแอร์เอเชียพร้อมสนับสนุนการทำงานของกรมการบินพลเรือนของไทยอย่างเต็มที่
“เหตุการณ์ดังกล่าวจะไม่กระทบแผนการขยายงานในช่วงครึ่งปีหลังของไทยแอร์เอเชียอย่างแน่นอน โดยเราสามารถให้บริการบินในทุกเส้นทางได้ตามปกติสำหรับเส้นทางบินเดิม และยังขยายเส้นทางบินใหม่ได้ตามแผน โดยช่วงปลายปีเรามีเป้าหมายเปิดเส้นทางใหม่ระหว่างประเทศเพิ่มเติมประมาณ 3-4 เส้นทาง โดยมองไว้ที่ เนปาล อินเดีย ลาว ฟิลิปปินส์ และอินโดนีเซีย ซึ่งประเทศเหล่านี้ไม่ได้รับผลกระทบจากกรณีของ ICAO ส่วนจีนนั้นตามแผนจะมีเปิดเส้นทางบินใหม่ 1 เส้นทางช่วงเดือนตุลาคม ดังนั้นหากกรมการบินพลเรือนทำงานเสร็จในเดือนกรกฎาคมก็จะไม่ได้รับผลกระทบแต่อย่างใด แต่หากการทำงานล่าช้ากว่าที่คาดไว้ เราก็ยังมีเส้นทางอื่นๆ ที่มองไว้ทดแทน” นายธรรศพลฐ์กล่าวยืนยัน
ส่วนกรณีของสายการบินไทย แอร์เอเชีย เอ็กซ์ นายธรรศพลฐ์ยืนยันว่า เส้นทางบินจากดอนเมืองสู่นาริตะ (โตเกียว) คันไซ (โอซาก้า) และอินชอน (โซล) ยังให้บริการได้ตามปกติ ส่วนเส้นทางบินดอนเมือง-ซัปโปโร ให้บริการได้ตามปกติในเดือนพฤษภาคม-มิถุนายน หลังจากนั้นอยู่ระหว่างการเจรจากับกรมการบินพลเรือนของญี่ปุ่น แต่เชื่อว่าทั้งกรมการบินพลเรือนของไทยและกรมการบินพลเรือนของญี่ปุ่นจะแก้ไขปัญหาได้ทัน ทั้งนี้AAV ไม่ได้ถือหุ้นในสายการบินไทย แอร์เอเชีย เอ็กซ์ จึงจะไม่กระทบต่อผลประกอบการของ AAV แต่อย่างใด
Thai AirAsia to Stay Course, Confident in Reaching Growth Targets To Continue Adding Routes in Back Half of Year
Asia Aviation Plc. or AAV, listed company and a major shareholder of Thai AirAsia, held ‘AAV Open House’ at the Stock Exchange of Thailand today (21 April) to assure its investors it would be continuing its operation plans and to affirm that developments from the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) would not impact the ability of Thai AirAsia to operate all of its flights as scheduled. The company reiterated it would achieve its 2015 targets of acquiring 5 new aircraft (bringing its fleet total to 45 by year’s end), serving 14.5 million people and adding 3-4 new routes during the latter half of the year.
Mr. Tassapon Bijleveld, CEO of Thai AirAsia and AAV Plc., pointed out that the ICAO’s discovery of a Significant Safety Concern (SSC) during its audit of the Department of Civil Aviation, Thailand has not in any way affected AAV and Thai AirAsia, which have both been able to operate as usual. He assured the situation would not impact the company’s 2015 targets that include maintaining a Load Factor of 83% and increasing its passenger total to 14.5 million people.
Mr. Tassapon voiced confidence that the Department of Civil Aviation, Thailand will be able to remedy the current situation by July 2015, noting the agency’s diligence in the matter and its promise to supply progress reports to the ICAO every 1-2 weeks. He affirmed Thai AirAsia will provide its full cooperation to the Department of Civil Aviation, Thailand.
“The situation will not impact Thai AirAsia’s expansion plans in the latter half of the year. We continue to be able to operate all of our flights as scheduled and our plans to add 3-4 new routes during the second half of the year have not been impeded as the countries we have targeted are Nepal, India, Lao, the Philippines and Indonesia, which are not affected by the ICAO’s announcement. Pertaining to our plan to add a new route to China in October, if the Department of Civil Aviation, Thailand is able to complete its revisions by July, the plan should not be impacted. Regardless, if the department is not able to achieve its revisions by that time, we have already begun seeking out alternatives” Mr. Tassapon elaborated.
On effects to Thai AirAsia X, Mr. Tassapon noted that flights from Don Mueang to Narita (Tokyo), Kansai (Osaka) and Incheon (Seoul) continue to operate as usual and that the Don Mueang-Sapporo route will be able to operate as planned from May-June with negotiations already ongoing with the Japan Civil Aviation Bureau as to the future of the route. He voiced belief that the Department of Civil Aviation, Thailand and Japan Civil Aviation Bureau will be able to find a resolution while noting that AAV does not hold any shares in Thai AirAsia X, thus any complications would not result in effects to AAV’s performance.
