To encourage the medical tourism in Thailand, TAT invites tourists from Thailand and other countries to participate in 'Thailand Extreme MakeOver Season 2' to get a chance to win cash, beauty transformation and travel in Thailand for free.

                Mr.Thawatchai Arunyik, the Governor of The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), states that medical services in Thailand has been internationally recognized during the past few years due to the knowledge of world-class medical staffs in many branches, services of medical institutes and clinics, worthwhile and globally acknowledged treatments, which ensure the quality of treatments and services. Thailand is also one of the top-ranking destinations chosen by foreign tourists to travel. With these strengths, the government has set a role for Thailand to become the Medical Hub of Asia.

                “To fulfill the government policy, TAT has set a project of Thailand Extreme MakeOver once again after receiving a great recognition in the previous year. “Thailand Extreme MakeOver Season 2” will be launched to expand the medical tourism through online. This campaign is in the form of a reality show that allows a direct experience of medical services, especially the beauty services. It will attract tourists to come to Thailand and boost a continuous growth in medical tourism” added Mr. Thawatchai.

               The committee consists of qualified experts and medical staffs. Three participants will be chosen to attend the contest and come to Thailand. They will undergo medical beauty treatments as well as enjoy top-level tourist attractions in Thailand during their recovery. All video clips of the three finalists will be uploaded during the contest and audiences will have a chance to vote for each contestant. The one who gets the highest vote will be awarded 5,000 U.S. dollars and a package of luxury accommodation in Thailand. The other two contestants will receive the package of accommodation as well. Voters also have a chance to win prizes of beauty products.

                TAT would like to invite tourists from all around the world who want to change their appearance to join the project. Participants are required to fill in their personal medical record and send them with  photos showing their faces, the right, and back side of their whole bodies to www.tourismthailand.org/thailandextrememakeover starting from today until 31 May 2015. The vote will be opened until 30 September 2015.
