Chinacontinues searchfor missing MH370

BEIJING, March 4 -- As the first anniversary of MH370's disappearance approaches, thesearch and rescue workis still on, saidLi Jiaxiang, head of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, beforethe opening ofthe annual Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference on Tuesday.

Li said that China is buildingsearch and rescue platformtogether with Malaysia and Australia for better cooperation. He also noted that China's C919 passenger aircraft will roll off assembly lines this year and the first test flight is also planned for this year.

Malaysian Airline MH370 disappeared on March 8, 2014 with 239 passengers and crew on board, including 154 Chinese nationals. The disappearance was finally announced as an "accident" and all 239 onboard are presumed dead.
