‘ไอบีเอ็ม’ ผนึก ‘ยูดาซิตี้’ เปิดหลักสูตรระยะสั้นด้านปัญญาประดิษฐ์ พร้อมเปิดให้มหาวิทยาลัยทั่วโลกใช้ ‘ไอบีเอ็มวัตสัน’ โดยไม่เสียค่าใช้จ่าย

    ไอบีเอ็มเดินหน้าสนับสนุนภาคการศึกษา จับมือยูดาซิตี้ (Udacity) เปิดหลักสูตรปัญญาประดิษฐ์ (Artificial Intelligence หรือ AI) ระยะสั้น พร้อมเปิดให้นักศึกษา คณาจารย์ และคณะจากมหาวิทยาลัยทั่วโลก เข้าใช้ไอบีเอ็มวัตสันและเทคโนโลยีอื่นๆ อีกมากมายบนแพลตฟอร์มคลาวด์ไอบีเอ็มบลูมิกซ์ (IBM Bluemix) โดยไม่เสียค่าใช้จ่าย

     ผนึกยูดาซิตี้เปิดหลักสูตรปั้นนักพัฒนาทักษะด้านปัญญาประดิษฐ์

      ด้วยปัญญาประดิษฐ์เป็นเทคโนโลยีที่จะเริ่มมีบทบาทมากขึ้นเรื่อยๆ ในอุตสาหกรรมต่างๆ ไอบีเอ็มจึงร่วมกับยูดาซิตี้เปิดหลักสูตรระยะสั้นด้านปัญญาประดิษฐ์ เน้นการเรียนรู้จากการปฏิบัติในสาขาวิชาที่เกี่ยวข้องกับปัญญาประดิษฐ์ อาทิ การเล่นเกมและค้นหาข้อมูล ตรรกะและการวางแผน การอนุมานความน่าจะเป็น คอมพิวเตอร์วิทัศน์ ระบบค็อกนิทิฟ และการประมวลผลภาษาธรรมชาติ เป็นต้น รวมถึงการสร้างพอร์ตโฟลิโอผลงานเพื่อให้ผู้สำเร็จหลักสูตรสามารถนำไปใช้ในการสมัครเข้าทำงานต่อไป โดยผู้เชี่ยวชาญจากไอบีเอ็มจะร่วมมือกับยูดาซิตี้ในการพัฒนารายวิชาต่างๆ และให้ข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับการทำงานของเทคโนโลยีค็อกนิทิฟไอบีเอ็มวัตสัน

     หลักสูตรระยะสั้นด้านปัญญาประดิษฐ์จะครอบคลุมการเรียนการสอนออนไลน์ช่วงละ 13 สัปดาห์ รวม 2 ช่วง เริ่มเปิดหลักสูตรช่วงต้นปี 2560 โดยคาดหวังให้ผู้จบหลักสูตรมีความเข้าใจเกี่ยวกับความสำคัญของปัญญาประดิษฐ์ ความรู้พื้นฐานด้านเทคนิคและคณิตศาสตร์ที่จำเป็นสำหรับการพัฒนางานด้านปัญญาประดิษฐ์ และความสามารถในการเขียนโปรแกรมเพื่อแก้ปัญหาคอมพิวติ้งด้านปัญญาประดิษฐ์ที่สำคัญๆ

     เปิดให้นักศึกษา คณาจารย์ และคณะต่างๆ ใช้วัตสันบนแพลตฟอร์มคลาวด์ไอบีเอ็มบลูมิกซ์โดยไม่เสียค่าใช้จ่าย

     นอกจากนี้ ไอบีเอ็มยังได้เปิดให้นักศึกษา คณาจารย์ และคณะต่างๆ จากมหาวิทยาลัยทั่วโลกเข้าใช้แพลตฟอร์มคลาวด์ไอบีเอ็มบลูมิกซ์ เพื่อสัมผัสเทคโนโลยีค็อกนิทิฟไอบีเอ็มวัตสันรวมทั้งดาวน์โหลดซอฟต์แวร์ต่างๆ ของไอบีเอ็มได้โดยไม่เสียค่าใช้จ่าย ผ่านแพลตฟอร์มการบริหารจัดการทรัพยากรดิจิทัลด้านการศึกษา “ไควูโต้โซลูชั่นส์” (Kivuto Solutions)

     นักศึกษาจะได้รับสิทธิเข้าใช้แพลตฟอร์มดังกล่าวฟรี 6 เดือน จากนั้นจะสามารถขยายเวลาการใช้ต่อได้ตลอดระยะเวลาที่ยังลงทะเบียนกับมหาวิทยาลัย โดยคณาจารย์ก็จะได้รับสิทธิดังกล่าวเช่นกัน ส่วนคณะต่างๆ จะได้รับสิทธิใช้ฟรี 12 เดือน พร้อมสามารถใช้ประโยชน์จากชุดบทเรียนและแบบฝึกหัดต่างๆ สำหรับใช้ในการเรียนการสอนได้อีกด้วย

     ที่ผ่านมาไอบีเอ็มให้การสนับสนุนการเรียนรู้ด้านค็อกนิทิฟและปัญญาประดิษฐ์อย่างต่อเนื่อง โดยได้มอบหลักสูตรวิชาเกี่ยวกับไอบีเอ็มวัตสันแก่มหาวิทยาลัยราว 300 แห่งทั่วโลก และได้มีการสนับสนุนชุมชนนักพัฒนาอย่างต่อเนื่องผ่านการสัมมนาผ่านเว็บ กิจกรรมแฮ็คกาธอน รวมถึงไอบีเอ็ม เลิร์นนิ่ง แล็บ ที่รวบรวมกว่า 90 รายวิชาที่เกี่ยวข้องกับเทคโนโลยีไอบีเอ็มวัตสัน จากโค้ดอคาเดมี คอร์สเซอรา บิ๊กดาต้ายูนิเวอร์ซิตี้ และยูดาซิตี้ มาไว้ที่เดี่ยวกัน และยังได้มีส่วนร่วมในการพัฒนาทักษะนักพัฒนา ผ่านโครงการประกาศนียบัตรรับรองนักพัฒนาแอพพลิเคชั่นไอบีเอ็มวัตสัน (IBM Watson Application Developer Certification)

IBM Announces the AI Nanodegree with Udacity and Free Access for Universities to the Complete IBM Bluemix Portfolio Including IBM Watson Technology

              Bangkok, Thailand -- 27 OCT 2016: IBM today announced with Udacity the introduction of a Nanodegree program that incorporates expertise from IBM Watson and covers the basics of artificial intelligence. The “AI Nanodegree” program will be helpful for those looking to establish a foundational understanding of artificial intelligence. IBM will also help aid graduates of this program with identifying job opportunities.

              Nanodegree programs offer unique, hands-on learning opportunities for students to master critical skills in cutting-edge fields, while simultaneously building up project-based portfolios of work that demonstrate those skills for future employers.

              The AI Nanodegree will guide students through courses and projects on different aspects of artificial intelligence, such as:

•             Game playing/search

•             Logic and planning

•             Probabilistic inference

•             Computer vision

•             Cognitive systems

•             Natural language processing

              IBM experts have collaborated with Udacity on the curriculum for a number of these courses and provided supporting guidance on how Watson works and aligns with the Nanodegree objectives. The courses will include online videos of these experts leading exercises that cover the core concepts of Watson. The Nanodegree will also feature capstone projects for students to demonstrate their mastery of the skills and techniques taught.

              The AI Nanodegree is comprised of two, 13-week terms, the first of which will open in early 2017. Upon completing the program, students will:

•             Develop an understanding of the importance of artificial intelligence as an area of continued study

•             Become grounded in the basic mathematical and technical competencies needed to participate meaningfully in the AI community

•             Be able to write programs to solve computational problems important in AI

Teaching the Next Generation of Builders

    To continue on this commitment, IBM also announces another new program geared at college students that we’ve launched with Kivuto Solutions, an academic software distributor. Via Kivuto’s popular digital resource management platform, students and academics around the world will now gain free access to the complete IBM Bluemix Portfolio - and specifically, Watson. This offers students and faculty at any accredited university – as well as community colleges and high schools with STEM programs – an easy way to tap into Watson services. Through this access, teachers will also gain a better means to create curriculum around subjects like AI.

    Starting today, students and teachers can register online using their academic credentials, download IBM software and secure Bluemix promotion codes that enable them to access our suite of cognitive services available through the Watson platform. They will receive six months’ worth of free access and then can renew their access at no cost while they are enrolled at the university. Faculty receive 12 months of free access.

    For academic faculty, we have gone a step further and are now providing them access to specialized IBM courseware, including labs, exercises and answer sheets for use in classes or lectures. For both groups, our goal was simple – to provide fast, easy and free access to a huge portfolio of tools and resources that will enable them to tap into the power of cognitive computing.
